My boss is having trouble with her email and has assigned me the task of helping her. ! She gets many emails a day -- she reads some, bypasses others, and then the next time she's in Outlook, she's got 50 new messages -- and the new ones she bypassed earlier go out of her sight and she doesn't ever read them. She wants [me] to come up with some way to remind her that she has new email. I tried sorting, but I haven't found a sort function yet that works. Sorting by icon doesn't group all new mail together. Ideally she and I would like to be able to do something quick that would pull all new emails up to the top of the inbox
Help, anybody?

You really ought to take a look at Outlook 2003 for her. It has vastly improved mail management tools.

In the meantime, just sorting by the Received field in reverse chronological order should put new mail at the top.

Sorting by "received" doesn't put all new mail at the top if you've only opened SOME of them and left others for later... that's the hitch.

Yes, it should if all the items are available in the view. You aren't filtering only unread items, are you?

Please take the time to quote the original message manually so that people reading your current response can understand what you're talking about. Otherwise, you may not receive the answer you're looking for.
