want smaller desk icons-

the regular methods only offer larger icons-at one time I did stuble across a
way that made a full screen of icons fill only about a fourth of the
screen-(unreadable text)-I cant find it again-also, I loaded the free living
backround from freeze.com and its great, except the text under icons are in a
blue box-can I change that?-its a running macromedia program-

Control Panel>Display>Appearance tab>Effects button. In next box, unmark
"Use Large Icons". If this fails or is already unmarked, go to Control
Panel>Display>Appearance tab>Advanced button. In next box, click on
upside-down triangle under Item to get a list. Scroll to Icon. WRITE DOWN
what its size is. Then reduce its number. Same for text under it. May
have to repeat process until satisfied.
