want folder view to show modifcation date, not artist, album, etc

I have set the default folder view as "Details."

However, folders are showing Artist, Track Number, Album, Year, and Duration
rather than what I want - showing the Modification Date.

What causes this view to show up and how can I change it ?

Nothing 'causes' it, it's arranged by right clicking anywhere in the column
bar and selecting 'more'. Check or uncheck what you want to display. Use the
'move' buttons to place them horizontally.
