wallpaper becomes pixelated

hello,
if anyone can help, my wallpaper becomes pixelated when opt to not show desktop icons....how can i fix this?
i run at 1024 x 768, 32 bit color with radeon 7000 card and catalyst control center

Hi jk

In your Control Center is there a Troubleshooting tab? (I have one with
a Radeon 9200 card but am using Control Panel, not the Control Center.)

It has a slider that enables you to change hardware acceleration. You
may need to turn this down a notch or two -- experiment and see.
