I want to be able to sign my name and draw free hand with my wacom digitizer.
I can do it directly on my tablet PC(toshiba protege) but don't seem to have
any of those features available on my desk top. I understand that it is not a
tablet PC but I should be able to use my pen on my wacom the same way. Please
help, thanks.

G'Day Nomis,

Please try the following:
Right-Click the Windows Task bar.
Click "Toolbars"
Click "Language bar"

If that is successful then:
Right Click the Language bar (it will be on the task bar)
Click "Restore the Language bar"
Position it somewhere convenient.

Start Word.

At the Right hand end of the Language bar:
Click the tiny Drop Arrow and ensure that "Handwriting"

is ticked
This will put a "Handwriting" button on the Language bar.
Click that button to enable your digitizer.

(The "Handwriting" button will not be available unless the
active window contains a program that supports recognition.
That is why you need to start Word.))

If any of these steps fails, search WINDOWS XP "Help and
Support" (Start>Help and Support) for "Handwriting
Recognition" - see the article on "Add Handwriting Recognition".

Thank you for your help. It worked! it's not as good as using my tablet PC
but that was expected, right? Again, thank you.
Simon
