Please can anyone tell me how to delete W32 randex .gen Virus all attempts through NAV do not make sense

Delete the file debug.txt if it exists.

You have to change the following registry keys. Before you do that,
perform a back up of the registry. Go to Start > Run > regedit.

Go to file > export and export a copy of the registry

Search on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE the entries:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\
Microsoft Update = wuamgrd.exe

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce\
Microsoft Update = wuamgrd.exe

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices\
Microsoft Update = wuamgrd.exe

Delete the entries if they exist

Every user has a part of the registry with a code number. Search under
HKEY_USERS\[Code number of the user]\. For every user search these
entries:

HKU\[code number]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Run\Microsoft Update = wuamgrd.exe

HKU\[code number]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\RunRunOnce\Microsoft Update = wuamgrd.exe

Delete the entries if they exist.
