My W2K OS doesnt' work on my laptop. I can boot up and get to a DOS promt to look at all my files, but no windows. My only option (as I see it) is to reformat. I need to download my data, but doing it at 1.44M at a time is a last ditch option. Is there a better solution? Can I load up drivers for my CDRW or a USB Flash Drive?

I know this is an MS group but if you have access to another machine and a
high speed internet connection, you might want to try something like Cool
Linux CD. It is a RedHat based "live" Linux that requires no installation.
Just boot from cd and burn a copy of all of your data. 650 MB.
