VueScan Stalls: Something with my choice of parms?

Problem started in v7.6.64, persists in 8.1.30.

I'm hooked up to a Nikon CoolScan 4000, trying to scan strips of color negs.

Worked for the first couple strips, then started appearing to hang or something
with a "Refreshing Screen" in the status bar. It scans the first frame, but
doesn't show anything OR occasionally shows really weird posterized colors.

I figure it's got to be something I've done with the setup parms....but what?

Anybody been here?

I am having the same problem. I though it was my LS-4000 but started
to believe it was VueScan since, I do not see this problem with my
other scanning software. I had to turn off auto eject after batch
scanning because, apparently VueScan is sending an incorrect control
code to the scanner. It ejects the strip; however, when trying to
feed another strip, it continually ejects it. I also have had VueScan
go into a slow motion where it is displaying % complete very slowly
but never completes. If I exit out of VueScan and power cycle the
scanner, it returns to normal.

I hope there is a fix for VueScan shortly!!

No idea. Try the usual: delete vuescan.ini and start from scratch... If
that doesn't help, check your cables and connectors. If still no
success and Nikonscan works, send a problem report to Ed (follow the
procedure outlined in the manual)...

Bingo!.... It never occurred to me that there was a VueScan.ini - I was using my
own setup files...

Thanks.

In case Ed reads this NG, here's the bad .INI file:
