Vuescan slow to shut down

I have used Vuescan for many years and just updated to the latest
version from version 7.5. I was able to get my new serial number and
the program runs my Minolta Scan Multi(original version)just fine. The
"about" window indidcates that all is legal, all functions are
activated, and the serial number box says "profesional edition". The
scans look great, and files transfer properly into Photoshop. The
problem, I have, is during program shutdown. When I close Vuescan,
the film holder is ejected, the status line says "busy" and starts
counting towards 100%. This takes about 2 minutes to accomplish.
When the status reaches 100%, the program closes.

The system is Win XP Pro, 1.8 GHz P-IV, 2 GB RAM, Adaptec SCSII. The
only other item on the SCSII bus is a Zip drive.

Any suggestions?

When I close Vuescan,

If you send me a vuescan.log capturing the commands when this
happens, I can probably diagnose the problem.
