vTodo and vJournal

Outlook supports vCalendar and iCalendar - but only vEvent items, as far
as I can make out.

Is there any current or upcoming support for vTodo and vJournal, or any
known workarounds or 3rd-party products for this?

Bigger fish to fry? Lack of widespread use in other applications?

FWIW, Outlook doesn't support VTIMEZONE either, which limits Mac
interoperability.
