I am trying to do a backup using DriveImage XML. A box pops up telling me to
check task manager to make sure that vssvc.exe is running. When I go to task
manager/processes there is not a vssvc.exe. How do I find it and install it.
I am running XP Pro SP 2.

vssvc.exe is the Microsoft® Volume Shadow Copy Service.

Start the Volume Shadow Copy service.

Open Services...
Start | Run | Type: services.msc | Click OK |
Scroll down to and double click Volume Shadow Copy |
Set Startup type to Automatic | Click Apply | Click the Start button to
start the service |
Click OK | Close Services.

You need to go into Services and turn on the Volume Shadow Copy service and
set it to automatic. go>start>control panel>adminstrative tools> services and
click on Volume Shadow Copy to highlight it and then in the left panel at the
top click the start button. Post back if you need more. TTFN.
