Hi,

When I try to setup a new VPN connection in "New Connection Wizard" of my XP
Professional (Latest SP and Updates), after clicking on "Connect to network
at my workplace" and Next, I see two choices Dial-up connection and VP
connection but both of these options are disabled and clicking on Next
doesn't do anything.

In my home network, I am connected to the Internet through a Cable Modem and
Wired router.

What could be the problem?

Thanks
Alex

Go to the Services tree item under computer management
(Start=>Run=>compmgmt.msc) and make sure that the Remote Access
Connection Manager Service is enabled and started (or attempt to start
it). After doing this, you should be able to get the VPN setup
options...

That usually solves that problem... The next step is to make sure
your drivers are up-to-date...
