I have a VPN set up between a desk top (server) and a laptop. The connection
works very well. The problem is that files and folders can be copied from
the desktop to the laptop but the same files and folders can not be copied
from the laptop back to the desktop. "Access denied" comes up when transfer
starts. I have Norton Internet Security on both and have the the laptop IP
noted as trusted on the desktop. I assume that I have a security problem but
do not know where else to look.

do you have the same username and password in both computers?

Don't send e-mail or reply to me except you need consulting services. Posting on MS newsgroup will benefit all readers and you may get more help.

Same user name and password are in both computers. Your Chicage link had the
answer--check out the drive properties for sharing and changes.
Thanks for the help
