Hi

Can anyone tell me the steps to go through to convert my C drive to NTFS
I want to prevent other users of my computer looking at my work files.
I have entered the correct code into Command Prompt and it asks me what is the current volume label.

How do i find out what this is so I can get my C drive on NTFS"????!!!!

Open the command prompt and type "convert c: /fs:ntfs" without the quotes
assuming C: is your hard drive. Sounds like you have that part down. I
don't remember the command asking you for the volume label but it has been a
while since I used it. You can get the volume by looking on My Computer if
you disk is called anything other than "Local Disk" that is the label, if it
is "Local Disk" the volume label is blank.

Hope that helps.
