Volume Display

My computer used to display the volume in a small box every time I changed
the volume, but for whatever reason it doesn't show up anymore. Can anyone
tell me how to turn it back on?

Start, Settings, Control Panel, "Sounds and Audio Devices", check the box "Place volume icon on
the taskbar", Apply, OK
