voice through speakers

At your suggestion I confirmed that the mike was not checked in playback mode. I still hear my voice through the speakers. Would you please supply me with the information for the proper settings and perhaps explain why this happened when I performed the audio wizzard.

Where is the mic connected? It should be connected to the Sound Card.

the voice through speakers happens when the mike ic plugged into the sound card and when it is plugged into the misk jack at the front panel

Go back through the audio/video setup wizard and be sure you do not have
'using headphones' selected.
