I'm trying to upgrade from WinXP Home Edition to WinXP Professional Edition,
everything was going fine until I hit the blue screen says there's an error,
possibly somethng wrong with vobid.sys. It keep repeat after re-start. Safe
mode was on and fine but doesn't go through.

First step is: Is there a WAY out of this???

After getting out of this, what's the next step should I do to fix this
"vobid.sys"??

The reason I need to upgrade this b/c I need to install IIS.

vobid.sys is associated with Pinnacle.Boot in to safe mode and try
renaming the vobid.sys driver. It is located in the system32
folder.Otherwise you can uninstall Pinnacle products first and after
upgradation to XP Professional reinstall it.

Great... now the problem is there is a blue screen right there... if I push
to shut down and restart, it will go straight to XP installation screen then
again... how do I stop right there and try to reverse the installation in
order to fix the vobid.sys???

How?
