vlookup and bring the "font color" of the cell across?

If that font colour has been set by means of conditional formatting,
then you can apply the same CF rules to the cell containing VLOOKUP.

However, if you have set the colour manually, you will not be able to
bring that back to the cell with the formula in, as a formula can only
return a value, not a font.
