Hi I'm working with the beta version of this product. I place the web in my
master page, then link to my other pages. Set them up. When I select view
in browser to check what I have done everything is scewed. The menu, borders
everything any suggestions. I use relative positioning.

VWD 2005 Express is available for free as a download. Try getting the
production version and try this again.

Hi,
I loaded the full released version of visual web developer 2005 express and
the menus are scewed.
Does any one have an suggestions. I have a master page and the menu looks
fine then I create a content page the menu is not located where it shows on
the master page. Any help would be appreciated

Take our your relative positioning and see what happens. You probably need
to use some trial and error on this because of the way the web controls are
actually rendered within a browser. You might also test with other browsers
because they will render differently from FireFox and IE in some cases.

When it comes to browsers, WYS isn't really WYG.

I appreciate the help, however microsoft is advertising wsyiwyg, I set
everything absoulte and use grid format instead of flow the result are worse.
It should work, I created web pages in visual studio 2003 and did not have
an issue. Is there anything else besides guessing that would fix the problem?

You can contact Microsoft directly and pay the fees to get an answer
that is not a guess. If you don't want to go this route then these
forums are a great way to get answers concerning your issues. If you
feel Microsoft is doing false advertising then go hassel them about it.
If you ask me, VS.NET 2003 visual designer is far less superior to
Visual Web Developer. Maybe you could display some of your markup that
is not being rendered properly in the designer. By the way, do does
your page look when rendered in IE or Firefox?
