Visual C++ Debug Library error when opening Outlook 2002

Anyone run into this before? When I open Outlook 2002 I
get a Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library message,
stating "Debug Error!" and three choices (abort, retry,
ignore) that all lead to the same place--Outlook closes.
But then if I try opening it again right away, the problem
does not reoccur. It only occurs the first time I open
Outlook after a fresh logon.

For what it's worth, I recently converted to using Outlook
from Outlook Express. I run Windows and Office XP (2002)
and have all the current updates and service packs for all
the Microsoft software.

Any clues, anyone? Thanks.

Have you tried detect and repair?
