Visual Basic : "Object Library Not Found"

I keep getting the above message if i try to create a new blank database.
Also if I try to open an exsisting database eg northwind then a error report
comes up and access closes.

Please help, I am a student and need this program for my work!
 
I wish I could help, but I am having the exact same problem.
Access 2003.
Have uninstalled, reinstalled 3 times. Run every update under the
sun! Tried the VBA udate. Nothing works.

I get the same error message as Calum. ANY HELP WOULD
BE MUCH APPRECIATED!
