Messages posted via that site http://www.vistaheads.com

Are causing problems to us, "whose answers it uses", via NNTP

Will anyone associated with that site, please get that forum software set up
correctly, so that it quotes the message being replied to or referenced.

It is a PITA to make out what a great Percentage of their users are talking
about?

Anyone have a contact at the site?

I just sent the following to their Contact Us link:

I am one of the prime responders in the newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail. I don't post via your website, but many
users posting questions do use your site. Sometimes several back-and-forth messages are required before an issue is resolved.
Unfortunately, we responders are finding that your users are failing to quote the message they are replying to. This causes extra
research work for us. Please adjust your software so that when your user responds to a post, it automatically quotes the original
text.

Thank you,
Gary VanderMolen, Microsoft MVP (Mail)

I did get a reply from the Admin at VistaHeads:

Thanks very much for your email and for letting me know what is happening.

I will fix it ASAP. I do not think that there is a setting within the
software. If not I will implement some code that will give the desired
affect.

Once again, thanks and I'm sorry for any inconvenience caused.

regards

Steve

We shall see if anything gets fixed.

I await with baited breath :-)

It would be better for all concerned, if they are able to implement this.

Good work Gary.

Go ahead, laugh. My laptop came with Vista.

I am on a list serve on which I used to be able to open any thread by
clicking on it as it appeared in the digest list it came on.

But not now. If I do that now I have to SAVE the thread to my computer
first. Uh, I don't think so.

I can go up to the heading, double click, then press Open and see one thread
at a time that way. I have to x out to look at another. Why.

Oh why???

Is there another way?

You should ask the other list serve members.
We have no way of knowing what type of link is used by your list serve
messages. Do you get an error message? If so, copy & paste it here.
