Every time I open my Vista Windows Mail, it is requiring me to enter my name
and pass word, even though it is checked to remember it...
The error message in the send and receive box is: Account:
'pop-server.woh.rr.com', Server: 'pop-server.woh.rr.com', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC17
This problem just started out of the blue.... what's up here??
Thanks in advance

There's a quirk that makes Windows Mail forget your password if
you click Apply after adding the check mark in the box before
Remember password. Try this: Click on Tools, then Accounts,
then your email account, then Properties, then Servers. Click on
the check mark in the box before Remember password to remove
it, then Apply. Then click at the end of your password, backspace
over it, enter it again with any approvals needed, then click on the
box before Remember password to put the check mark back. This
time, don't click on Apply. Click on OK, then Close.

Thanks for your suggestion.. Unfortunately, it didn't work...
In the e-mail program where you said, I didn't use a password. I did what
you suggested using a password, and it didn't work.. I think because the
password the mail is requiring me to use is the one given me by my ISP.
I use Trend Micro as an antivirus and at one point, even unstalled it and
still I had the problem.

I use Trend Micro, which at one point, I uninstalled and still had the
problem..
Thanks for your inquiry.

The antivirus while it was installed may have corrupted your password store.
After uninstalling the antivirus, always delete the mail account, restart
Windows Mail, then recreate that mail account.

Thanks... I'll try that...
