Vista upgrade from XP problem

After running the upgrade (not a clean install), I get a message from the
Windows Boot Manager that Windows failed to start because a file:
netflt.sys was missing or corrupted. I also ran the "Repair Your Computer"
for over 10 hours to no avail. Does anyonr have a suggestion as to how to
proceed, or where to find that file and how to get it into the system?

Did you uninstall your A/V before doing your upgrade? What product do you
use. I know Panda has caused this before.

I would start over and do a clean install with your Upgrade version of

Yep, *always* do a clean install using the "secret" method.
His XP license is now defunct because he did an upgrade install.

He can reinstall XP and do upgrades as often as he needs to
