2 items not installed, 2 items not needed
1-Acumulative security for IE7
2-WM Junk Email filter
is this normal behavior?

Some updates are optional, even from microsoft.
That could be why the updater had displayed that message.
Open up details about the updates and it will tell you the importance of an
update.

The IE 7 security update (KB931768) has caused issues (with Win Mail) for
several - I had to uninstall it.
The junk mail update seems fine

Those 2 D/L came this morning (via Notify me but don't automatically
download or install them.)

After D/L an installation with the required restart, everything looks Ok
(so far so good) only time will tell.

Have a good day

I had problems - I have Vista Ultimate - don't know if the version matters
or not.

Same here, no problems, but some are having lots of problems.

thanks, i know that feature, 2 main updates are important and recommended,
if they were installed, update history wil tell about that install
i believe that every new MS O.S. carry a lot of weird things and Vista can't
be the exception to the rule
perhaps the "cake" need more time inside the oven
Saludos

Antonio
