Vista related hardware drivers - needle in a haystack.

I have been trying to resolve a Vista/Internet issue for a while, even after
my ISP came out and proved their modem/line were OK. Vista told me that all
my hardware drivers were fine and up-to-date, but after nothing else would
work, I started going to vendor websites and downloading their latest
drivers. I hit the jackpot with the Ethernet card's driver. Although the
driver identification was identical to the one Vista had loaded, the moment
that driver was installed my download issues for large files disappeared and
I'm back up to 6 megs. Please bold your notices that sometimes you just have
to go to the source to find then right needle and thread!

You should be going to the hardware manufacturer.
That is the advice that has been given here for months.
