activations... ie could you activate with a machine over the internet then
reactivate with a different hardware configuration after 120 days later over

There has been no official word either way from MS since Vista has been
released, but one would assume it's still in practise because there has
been no word they are stopping it either. Give it a try and let us
know. Good luck.
