Vista: How long is XP going to stay in the retail channel?

Not that Vista seems to be ready to ship, when will XP become
unavailable on new retail PC systems and when will the retail kit
become unavailable from dealers like NewEgg?

I expect Pro to stay on shelves and XP/home to go away rather quickly.
 
Until there is no longer consumer interest in buying it. Retailers are still
selling Win98SE on the web. For some folks that's they need.

"consumer interest" has nothing to do with it, and I didn't ask about
98. When MS tells Dell to stop selling XP, Dell stops.

I'd love to find a legit source of W2K kits. It was available on
NewEgg until about a year ago. Believe it or not, there are companies
that insist on buying legal software.
