The Kontaminator

Following a motherboard failure my LAN controller and Bluetooth adapter
are now numbered as #2 - You can try and rename them in Network
Connections, but unable to in Device manager. When you do attempt to
rename by removing the '#2' it says that a connection with the same name
already exists, when it bloody well doesn't.

Any ideas how to rectify this trivial caper?

Thanks.

In theory you could run through the Registry and get rid of the old
entries - and risk corrupting something essential as well. Or you could
just ignore the #2 and drive on. I recommend 'ignore'. :-)
