Hi all,
We have a Desktop PC and a Laptop both running XP and using a LAN the Laptop
is wireless.
We want to get a laptop running Vista to replace the old one. Someone said
that you can't mix Vista and XP on the same LAN.
Is this true?
TIA

I'm running both at home with no problems and at work too.

setting up file and print sharing between XP and Vista is a little different
than you may be used to, but once set up the 2 co-exist just fine. I have
Vista Home Basic, Win98, WinXP, and Vista Ultimate all networked and sharing
just fine.

No.

The data that move over a network are not painted in vivid colors denoting
the system of their origin.

I have it working without any real problems, but transfer of large files
from Vista to XP & XP to Vista is much slower than between XP machines. And
the WiLAN performance is much slower. Working on a fix as I speak.
