I have just purchased a new PC with Vista home addition pre-installed. I log
on as an administrator nut when trying to load certain software from a cd,
i.e. BT internet, it will not install. I get a message that I'm not an
administrator, log on as an administrator. Despite being logged on as an
administrator I can not load this software. Any help please!!! This also
happens when I download certain software over the net.

The link also talks UAC, some other stuff and Run as Administrator, which
you can do by right-click a short-cut or exe and running it with Admin
rights.

Even if you do get any further, BT Internet will fail to install completely
at the Help Files. Just plug your BT "router" into your LAN socket, switch
on and use it. You will not install the yahoo add-ons and will have to set
up your email accounts yourself. Anyway that's what the fractured English
from the Bombay said to me.

Hi,

Just check the administrator user right permission, it should have full permission, or else while you install the application or software just right click the setup.exe file and edit the permission to full permission then you can install the application smoothly.
