Vista Activation Utiliy Installation Error

HP Update keeps trying to install the "Windows Vista Activation Utility" but
always hangs on this error:

3068:Function Syntax. Illegal delimiter found. On line 1289 of
W:\Patches\IP\sp26915\install.wbt

RunShell("regsvr32.exe", '/s
"C:\Users\WASH'N~1\AppData\Local\Temp\pft221D.tmp\cpc_DMIRD.dll"', "",
@NORMAL, @WAIT)

Any suggestions?

I second Richard's sage advice. The error is being caused by something HP
is doing or trying to do, not by Vista. Contact HP for assistance resolving
the issue.
