Trying to use Parental control ..

When I access the control panel to select the parental control option,
nothing happen the selected "parental Control" fails to open ???

Appreciate any ideas, probably something very obvious ... but cant see it.

Regards

Click on Start and in the Start Search field type "CMD.EXE" and then hold
down CTRL and SHIFT on your keyboard and tap the Enter key to launch an
elevated command prompt, when asked by user account control for consent click
on Continue or provide the appropriate credentials.

Once the command prompt window has opened, type sfc.exe /scannow -- this
will scan and verify all system files, and repair any damaged files.

After SFC has completed, restart your computer and report back to let us
know if the issue still occurs. Also, do you have any antivirus suite on your
computer such as Norton?

Do a System Repair:

If that does not work, try repairing your system. Boot from your Windows
Vista DVD, select the System Repair Option > on the setup screen, select
'Repair Computer > Select your installation of Windows > select Startup
Repair option and follow instructions.

Booted from the Vista CD, selected repair option, as I dont have a previous
restore point or backup I selected option 1 to search / repair. Completed
sucesfully, but identifies no fault. Tried again but still no Parental
Control. .......

The parental control is shown as available within the control panel (classic
layout), but can't be selected, does selecting the parental control initiate
a pop up, do you know of any security settings that I might have
inadvertently selected? that would prevent the parental control from being
selected? ... THat perhaps I am missing

I am stumped, only other recommendation is to reinstall Vista. Did you
install any applications recently that might or could have caused conflicts?
