Visoneer One Touch 8820 USB Scanner

Does any one have a solution to Windows XP Pro regonizing
the scanner. I went to the visioneer download center and
downloaded the xp drivers for the scanner. It still
won't regonize it. Help! Any solutions out there.
 
If you look in Device Manager is there a device with a yellow exclamation
mark by it? (Start>Control Panel>System>Hardware Tab>Device Manager). If so
try either rt. clicking the unknown device and selecting Update driver and
select 'Install the software automaticallly.' This often happens when you
connect your scanner before installing the software provided by Visioneer.
If you don't see a yellow banged device then like Cari mentioned there might
be a problem with your actual USB port.
