viruses in my windows

please can someone help me?
we do regular serches on our pc for viruses and we found three we were able
to put these into quarentine.
But last night it said i had another 1 so when i tryed to put it in
quarentine it just said failed please help

If there is a virus you want to make sure that you get rid of it from your PC.

My advice:
1. Never quarantine, always delete and make sure they are gone from your
computer. Follow up with 'empty recycle bin'.
2. If quarantine fails, then just go with delete.

You don't mention what your AV programme is so I cna't assist any further
with instructions.

What AntiVirus program are you using and where does it say the virus has
been found. i.e. c:\windows as an example

Do the scanning and quarantining in Safe mode. When you are in Normal mode,
the virus is likely active and cannot be contained.

we are useing symtec norton and it was found in our windows some were put in
quarantine and two were left alone it just said faild
