Virusbuster and Pop up thingers

I need some help, i have this little icon near my clock on my settings and it
won't go away, i click on it and it takes me to virusbuster.com and its
really getting old...how can i get rid of all this crap?

The easy and most thorugh way is to reformat and reinstall the OS. If
you have nothing of particular importance to save, this is the best
choice.
