I recently received a virus that sends a message to everyone on my buddy list
(AIM) that says something about finding a picture of someone and sends a
link to them. I don't know where it came from (everyone in the family claims
to not have clicked on anyting), but regardless, I want to get rid of it.
What should I do??????

Start with getting rid of it, ASAP. While you have it, all of your friends are
at risk.

Then improve your own security.

Finally, pass both links to your friends on AIM. One of them infected you. All
of his (her) friends are at risk too. Any of them could be getting messages
(infected) from your mutual "friend".

If you eliminate the problem on your computer, you could still be getting
unwanted messages (even if you don't get re infected after applying Layered
Security) from any of your friends. It's to your benefit that all of your
friends be given this advice.
