I have the virus W32.Novarg.A@mm in this file
How do I get it out? I tried to delete it but
it will not let me

Reboot your PC and startup windows in safe mode. That should prevent the
worm from being active and you should be able to delete it then. Good luck.

I've two XPPro machines here at work, both protected by

McAfee
Version: 4.5.1 SP1
Virus Definition File: 4.0.4319
Created: 27 January 2004
Scan Engine: 4.2.60

The scanner operates in real time and is always on. It intercepted the
W32/MyDoom on one machine this morning.

I went to the above Symantec link and performed the security check.

The check looks for " a current version of a commonly-used virus
protection product". But, it told me that "no known virus protection
software was found."

I ran the check on both McAfee protected machines, and the results were
the same.

What gives?

It is showing up on my system today and I don't know how to deal with it
