assistance. i cant delete the file if it is in use
obviousally, how do i do it?

Amy;
You have a worm W32.Blaster.Worm
DISCONNECT the subject computer from any network IMMEDIATELY.

Install or enable a firewall IMMEDIATELY:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283673

VERY IMPORTANT to follow ALL steps, closing ports or installing the
patch is NOT enough.
Download the patch and regedit referenced in the article below.
You may need to do this at an uninfected computer and burn to CD or
save on floppies.
Each file is small enough to fit on a floppy.

Follow this to clean and protect your computer:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_qr.htm#rpc

After this is resolved prevent similar occurrences by installing ALL
Critical Updates from Windows Update.
Keep antivirus up to date and run at least weekly.
Install or enable a firewall.

Amy, Boot your computer in the safe mode. Run a search
for the viruses you just listed. Delete those files. You
can go to symantec.com to get advice on how to remove
this problem from your computer.

Go to symantec.com

They have an extensive explanation on how to install the
patch, configure your computer (and how to do so), how to
modify your registry to keep the virus from running, etc.
The virus removal tool is located right there. Be sure to
boot your computer in the safe mode (again discussed at
the symantec site, if you do not know how). Having
problems finding what you need at the symantec site? Do a
search on google.com, on "epmap". There's a fellow who's
set up a site discussing the various end point mapping
virus problems folks have been experiencing with windows
xp. He has the link to the symantec site hotlinked to
his.

After this, you can apply the patch, run a check on your
machine, etc

I have the $%&#$% same virus JSNOCLOSE.I and JSEXCEPTION.GEN.

everyday when I turn on my computer its in safe mode and MY OS is
completly wacked, I cant acess the internet, my modem wont work,
nothing runs properly. I have to restore to a previous month for my
computer to work. The problem is I cant isolate the virus to delete it
manually. Do I delete all the files that my search has found to have
the virus in? There are hundreds of them.
