Hi All. I just did a virus scan with Trend Mirco's housecall and it had
found the following:
TROJ SMALL.GO - non cleanable - C:\SystemVolumeInformation\....
This one appears twice and then the following one appears 3 times:
BKDR.SANDBOX.A - non cleanable - C:\SystemVolumeInformation\....

How do i get rid of these viruses and how did they get onto my computer when
i do have Norton AntiVurus which i do keep up to date. I also run Adaware
and Spybot at least twice a week.

Thanx for all your help!! Patty

You'll need to turn-off System Restore, reboot, then turn it back on.

From what i've read in the link you have given me, I assume i have to turn
System Restore back on once i am done? Thanx Patty

Thanx Carey!! It worked! When i did another scan after doing what you had
said, they were gone and my computer was clean. Going to go try HouseCall
on my Windows98 computer now. That one has been giving me soooooo many
problems. Usually with my homepage being hijacked. Thanx again!! Patty

Greetings --

The System Volume Information is the folder in which WinXP's
System Restore feature stores information used to recover from errors.

To clear viruses from the "System Volume Information," simply turn
off the System Restore feature (Start > All Programs > Accessories >
System Tools > System Restore, System Restore Settings), reboot, then
re-enable System Restore, and reboot one last time. This will delete
all of your Restore Points, including the corrupted one(s), and allow
you start with a clean slate.
