virus protection software/pop-up blockers

Hi, For an anti-virus I would get Norton Antivirus. For a popup blocker get
the free Google Toolbar.

Questions like this, about the "best" anything, get opinions, not
answers. Since you'll get almost as many opinions as answers, you
end up as confused as you were before asking.

That said, here's my opinion: *I* like Norton Anti-Virus and the
pop-up blocking features of the Google Toolbar, which is free.
 
Too many choices. It's a matter of preference. You can get free a/v
software and popup blockers and you can download free trials (usually 30
day time limit) of many commercial a/v products. Get a few and try them,
then use the one you prefer most.
