I have a virus on my PC, which I cannot find. It started
with freezing IE, then the generic processes message and
also the computer attempting to shut down. This looked
something like BlasterWorm, but it couldn't be found.
The firewall I installed stopped the virus from affecting
IE, but about twice a minute, I can tell something is
happening because of the little timer appearing and
disappearing again.
I think it has something to do with MSN Messenger,
because I deleted msmsgs.exe from the task manager, but
it reappears again. I edited the file in run so that msn
messenger appears in the windows components list, and
then deleted it from there, but msmsgs.exe continues to
restart.
Anyone know how to stop this completely?
