Virus in msvchost.exe

Is my infected file MSVCHOST.EXE the same as the file SVCHOST.EXE that is
(according to Task Manager processes) currently running in four forms.

Therefore can I safely delete this file MSVCHOST.EXE without affecting the
running of WindowsXP as recommended by Norton AV.

.MSVCHOST.EXE is the virus file it is not a windows app.

If Norton says to delete it than delete it.
You have the Trojan.Xombe / Downloader-GJ virus.
 
Different file name means different file, its a virus trying to masquarade
as something else
