Suddenly my outlook 2002 is sending out emails from ME
that I didn't send. I just received a delivery failure -
that's how I know. I have McAfee installed, and am not
detecting any viruses - HELP.

You might not have sent the mail. The way a lot of the newer viruses work is
they spoof your address. So they are sending from (e-mail address removed) but they say
they are sending from (e-mail address removed). Jane didn't send anything, but the
recipient sees the mail as coming from her.

As long as McAfee is up to date and finds nothing, you're probably ok. To be
very sure, go to www.trend.com .Look for a tool called Housecall. You can
scan your computer for viruses over the internet. It's often helpful to have
a second antivirus company scan your system. In addition, check your Sent
Items folder. Chances are you won't find those items there because you never
actually sent them.

Make sure you are using McAfee version 6 or higher with
virus definition files updated to 4.0.4.338. Run a scan
from within your e-mail. Should pick-up any viruses. Also
run a scan on your entire C:\.

It's actually Trendmicro.com
