Hi,

If you go My Computer >> Properties >> Advanced tab >> Settings >> Advancedchoose? I read somewhere the it was 700 something. If I increase it to that,
is their anyway to get my computer to automatically use the higher number?
The reason I ask is that I'm desperate to increase the virtual memory on my
machine. Thank you for your consideration.

Custom Virtual Memory settings recommended:
Initial = 1 1/2 times RAM
Maximum = 2 1/2 times RAM

If you need virtual memory that badly, just add more RAM
(if you can). Using a hard drive for virtual RAM is a lot slower
than using real RAM.

How can you make realistic recommendations not having any idea
as to the RAM memory installed?

Is there a maximum other than free disk space? I see
there was in Windows 2000!

Those recommendations are totally bonkers and have absolutely no
relationship to the reality of how the virtual memory page file works.
