back to desktop and get the ran out of virtual memory
error. i dont get this as i have 1 gig of ddr pc 2100
memory to begin with. any ideas?
.
No,John,you are talking virtual memory,not RAM.Your 1
gig is RAM memory, your running out of virtual
memory, which is a portion of your harddrive allocated to
be used to be used for virtual memory. Most would be set
at 1.5 X your RAM (which for you would be bout 1500 MB) I
get the best gaming at let system select size, then it
won't kick you off like it has been.To do this follow
this:
start--control panel--performance and maintenance,click
the system icon--click advance tab--under performance
click settings--click the advance tab on that--under
virtual memory click change--check circle next to system
managed size, after you highlighted the drive at top,if
you have more than one,do them all like this--click OK--
OK--OK--Click restart for changes to take effect button.
