See MVP Alex Nichol's article on Virtual Memory in Windows XP at
http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm especially the section dealing with
problems.

Good luck

R.click my computer,properties,advanced,advanced,virtual-memory,click
the change button.Then L.click C: drive,select,let windows manage,click
set 2X.Close out,if you set it properly youll be prompted to resart computer.
Ideally, you probably need to purchase more memory, adding another hd
and use the settings just described and set it as virtual memory. Both and/or
increase virtual memory.
