virtual memory low

i just want to play Asherons Call, but now for some reason i cant. My xp takes forever to get
loaded and ready. I always get the message, " Virtual memory low, windows is increasing virtual memory, some aplications may not respond durring this process..blah, blah, humma humma. So anyways i cant get my gave to read now, and my 3D hardware wont work either. What can i do?

It means you have a software problem and not a hardware problem.

Maybe a page file in use by some other program. Or even a virus. Might want
to check out your task manager and see what task is hogging resources.

You can also run adaware to check for spyware that might be using page file
resources.
