viewing other computer

iv networked two pcs at home, one running win xp home and the other running win 2000
my children use the win 2000 comp upstairs in there bedroom and although im a trusting parent is there anyway i can view what they are doing on my other pc
id really like to drop in now and again just to check that all is ok, i have access to both the pc's so if there are any config issues i can sort them
anyone help??????????????????

Yes there is, its a little program called realvnc, it has
to be installed on both manchines and allows you to view
and interact with the other manchine. you can read aboit
and get it at

Go to Start then Run. Type in \\pcname\c$, with pcname
being the name of the PC upstairs. If you have rights
you can see their hard drive. Not as nice as software
mentioned but it's free.

It is a mistake to give children net access from a bedroom. Kid's PCs
should be in the most parent-accessible room in the house (kitchen, family
room, living room), and parents should inform kids that their net use
will be monitored by adults, and every parent should periodically look
over their shoulders and inspect their history files.

Eternal vigilance is the price of parenthood.
