I have just been upgraded to Powerpoint 2003. I used to be able to view the
properties of drawn objects that have been grouped together in the previous
version so that I could view the name of the group and used it in coded using
the .shapes() command to make it visible or not. Does anyone know of a way
to view the grouped items name with out having to just plug in numbers and do
a hit and miss that way?

thank you

I think you'll have to use a macro to get the group's name. Go to my
site:

and look for Example 8.7. Click on "Examples by Chapter" and "Chapter
8." This has some macros for setting and getting the names of shapes. It
works on groups, too.
